Career

Greg Van Dusen spent over 40 years in the utility industry in Ontario and has had exposure to the U.S. and European utility industry and regulatory environment.  Greg worked for Ontario Hydro for 20 years in the areas of fuel procurement, design and development, financial planning and reporting, and regulatory affairs.

Greg joined Hydro One in 2000 where he held positions in asset management, finance and regulatory areas until 2010.  He has been an expert witness at the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) in rate applications for both Hydro One and Hydro Ottawa in Cost of Service and Incentive Regulation proceedings.

Consulting

In 2010, after a 30-year career at Ontario Hydro and Hydro One, Greg established his own consulting firm.  For five years he provided a range of services to local distribution companies in Ontario, including preparation of regulatory rate applications and specialized training. 

In 2015, Greg was engaged by Hydro Ottawa Limited as the Director of Regulatory Affairs managing the monitoring of compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring the successful completion of all regulatory reporting obligations and the preparation and filing of rate applications.  He has represented Hydro Ottawa Limited at the OEB and provincial and federal government agencies and ministries proceedings.

Greg retired from Hydro Ottawa Limited in the fall of 2021 and is the President of his own consulting firm. Greg joined the Cornerstone Group (CHEC) as a Regulatory Advisor and is also an Associate Consultant with Elenchus Research Inc.
